Wynn Dealers

Where are our usually very vocal union representatives? Do you know what is going on in negotiations?
Are they afraid to tell us all we stand to lose if these proposals go to contract?
Our insurance benefits are on the table. As it stands now, we have excellent, inexpensive health benefits. If this proposal is accepted, you may then have to pay for these same benefits from your own pocket. Then the no match on our 401K plan. Added up over the years, that is huge! Our short term dis-ability could become 70% of wages only. You could hardly afford to go out on medical leave, let alone the unexpected accidents that life throws at us.
This union needs to reach contract so they can start generating an income from your mandatory union dues, leaving us stuck with a disgraceful contract for 3 years.
With the uncertain economy and our tokes still being very good, we should appreciate the place where we work instead of continually going back to the toke issue, which is NOT going to change.....it is NOT up for negotiation. Wouldn't it be nice to get the opportunity to move or transfer to Encore or move back and forth as needed? Wouldn't it be nice not to have to worry about paying dues, an increase in health benefits...because the TWU is not big enough to go out and get an inexpensive health plan like Mr. Wynn because of the number of his employees. All of these factors play a role in why you should stop being in the middle of the fence and not saying or having a vote in a contract which will not include changing the toke policy- it WILL effect you and your family personally- and it WILL NOT benefit you financially or professionally.

FELLOW  DEALERS

Some Facts: There are about 200 of us now who do not wish to be under the collective bargaining program of the TWU because we are concerned about losing our benefits. We have just as many rights as the union supporters and are not "union hating, self serving, accomplice dealers" as our attackers would like you to believe.
When you give your signature to the de-certification petition, it is merely a request to re-vote on representation from the TWU. Let's see if 1 year and 7 months later this union still has the majority vote.
Instead of slamming your fellow dealers who have a different opinion in lenghtly and negative letters, perhaps the union representatives could simply tell us what has been agreed on thus far. We're failing to see how the union is protecting us since people have already been fired and have not returned. As they pointed out in the union letter, Nevada is an "at will" state which means a person can be fired at will. The union cannot change this.
I saw the company proposal. What happens if the proposals don't get any better? What if they get worse? What if there is a total impasse? Can the union representatives and supporters tell us where we go from there? Will we get a mediator? We have researched mediators and the definition is: an experienced labor relations practioner who serves as a go between and tries to facilitate resolutions of differences between parties. Mediators' job is to help cajole, push or even bully parties into agreement wheather an agreement is "good" or "bad" the mediator simply wants to bring the parties to agreement...."any contract is better than no contract." So if we still cannot agree, is the only thing left is to strike? We will not walk out on this great job. We will not walk out on great tokes, health insurance, 401K with company match, short and long term dis-ability with 70% of total pay, meals, uniforms and paid vacation.
We are evoking OUR Federal rights and circulating this petition for a re-vote. We feel this union is taking us down the wrong road. THINK ABOUT IT!!!
